BEFORE YOU ENQUIRE

Who you are talking to

Before you share a drawing, you want to know who builds the belt, where, and whether they can handle your process.

Q01Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?

We are the manufacturer. Ningjin Yiyi Mesh Belt Co., Ltd. builds metal conveyor belts in its own factory in Ningjin, Shandong, China.

  • In-house: stainless wire drawing, round-bar drawing, belt forming, straightening, assembly, welding (robotic where applicable), in-process and final inspection.
  • Specialist partners, to our specification: some chains, sprockets, pickling, electropolishing, heat treatment and wooden cases. We set the requirement, check the dimensions and inspect the finished parts before they ship with your belt.

We tell you this up front, because knowing who controls each step is part of trusting a supplier.

Q02How long have you been making conveyor belts?

YIYI Mesh Belt’s manufacturing experience dates back to 1998, while Ningjin Yiyi Mesh Belt Co., Ltd. was established in 2008. We hold ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification (certificate 04625Q15267R0S) and 46 patents.

Q03Which metal conveyor belts do you make?

12 product families: 11 metal conveyor belt types plus drive sprockets and components:

  • Spiral & stacking: spiral freezer (including small radius), self-stacking, side driven belts.
  • Open structure: eye link, flat wire / honeycomb, trapezoidal mesh belts.
  • Woven & oven: balanced weave, compound weave, biscuit belts.
  • Chain: chain driven and chain plate / plate link belts.
  • Drive: drive sprockets and components, supplied to your drawing.

See every type with specifications on our product page.

Q04Who do you usually work with?

  • Equipment manufacturers (OEMs) building spiral freezers, ovens, coolers, washers and conveyors — they need belts that fit the machine drawing and repeat exactly.
  • Distributors and belt specialists — they need a manufacturing partner who reviews each enquiry with them and keeps the records for repeat orders.
  • Plants and maintenance teams — they need a replacement belt that runs on the existing line.

Q05Which belt is right for my process?

Tell us four things and we suggest a belt type:

  • What you convey (product, size, weight).
  • The process: freezing, cooling, baking, frying, coating, washing, heat treatment…
  • Temperature range.
  • Cleaning method and chemicals.

Our engineer explains why that belt fits and what to watch for. You can also filter belts by process on our product page.

Q06Can I visit your factory or send an inspector?

Yes. Customer factory visits are welcome, and third-party inspection and factory audits are supported on request. On a visit you can see wire drawing, forming, welding, inspection and export packing. Plan a visit.

02
QUOTATION

Getting a quote you can rely on

A cheap quote on the wrong specification costs more later. Our quotations are based on an engineering review, not a guess.

Q01What information do you need to quote?

The more of this you send, the faster and more accurate the quote:

  • Application and process.
  • New equipment, replacement or spare.
  • Current belt type, if any.
  • Drawing, or the old belt itself.
  • Width and length.
  • Material.
  • Pitch, wire and rod dimensions.
  • Edge structure.
  • Drive and sprocket details.
  • Equipment information.
  • Quantity and required timing.
  • Any documentation or testing requirement.

Missing a few values? Send what you have. We list what is still needed after the review.

Q02Can you quote from a photo?

Yes, for a first step. A clear photo with a ruler or tape and a few basic dimensions is enough for a preliminary identification and an indicative quotation. Before production, the final dimensions are confirmed from a drawing or the physical belt, so the belt you receive fits your line.

Q03What is your minimum order quantity?

For mesh belts the MOQ is usually around 10 m. It depends on belt type and project — tell us what you need and we confirm.

Q04How long is a quotation valid?

Usually 15 days. Stainless steel prices move, so a large change in material cost may require repricing; we tell you before it affects your order.

Q05What is the lead time?

Lead time depends on belt type, specification, quantity, complexity and our current schedule, so we do not quote a fixed number of days. We confirm the lead time with your quotation, and once production starts you receive our weekly progress report every Thursday, so you always know where your order stands.

Q06How fast will I get a reply?

Simple, complete enquiries can often be quoted quickly. For complex projects we acknowledge your enquiry first and give you an estimated timing for the engineering review, so you are never left waiting without an answer.

03
DRAWINGS & ENGINEERING

From your drawing to an approved first article

This is where most belt problems are prevented. Every custom order goes through the same controlled steps.

Q01Why do you ask me to approve and sign the drawing?

The approved drawing is the technical basis of a custom order. It fixes every dimension we build and inspect against, so both sides agree on exactly what will be delivered. We keep the signed drawing, your confirmed PI, email confirmations and, where applicable, photo or video confirmations in the order record.

Q02What happens between the drawing and mass production?

  • Approved drawing — you sign; it becomes the basis of the order.
  • Trial production — we confirm our reading of the drawing and the manufacturing structure, and catch issues before mass production.
  • Complete first article — a finished piece checked for geometry, assembly, edge, interface and finish. Not just one wire or one rod.
  • Confirmation — only then does mass production start, with in-process inspection.

Q03Can you copy my worn belt?

Usually, after review. A belt that has run for years has stretched and worn — worn dimensions are not the original design. Copying them can produce a belt that does not run on your drive. For a formal replacement we use:

  • the physical old belt,
  • any drawings you have,
  • your equipment information,

to remeasure, review the structure and confirm the final manufacturing dimensions with you.

Q04Do you test the belt on a drum or sprocket?

Where it matters. Drum or geometry verification is used where required for spiral freezer, self-stacking, side driven and other approved turning belts. Sprocket matching is reviewed for sprocket-driven belts. We do not claim that every belt is drum-tested — we apply the check that fits the belt.

Q05Can you review the belt, chain and sprocket together?

Yes. For chain driven belts we review belt, chain and sprocket as one system. Matching them separately is a common cause of running problems, so we check pitch, engagement and retention together.

Q06Will you keep my drawing confidential?

Yes. Customer drawings, names, PO numbers and project details are confidential. We never publish them, and any case we share is anonymous.

04
MATERIALS & QUALITY

Material you can verify, inspection you can see

Quality is controlled from the incoming wire to the packed crate, and every step leaves a record.

Q01Which materials can you use?

SUS304, SUS316, SUS316L and mild or carbon steel, depending on the belt type. Sprockets can also be supplied in UHMW-PE, nylon or POM. See which material fits which belt on our material page.

Q02SUS304 or SUS316: which should I choose?

SUS304 is the common choice for general food processing. SUS316 contains molybdenum and is chosen where the belt meets salt, brine or stronger cleaning chemicals. Tell us your product, temperature and cleaning method; our engineer confirms the grade before quoting.

Q03How do you control material?

  • Each incoming batch arrives with steel mill material documentation.
  • Every batch is confirmed by spectral analysis (composition) and hardness testing.
  • We draw stainless wire and round bar in-house, so wire diameter starts under our control.
  • We can also perform tensile, dimensional and coordinate-measuring checks where a project requires them.

Q04How do you inspect the belt?

Material verification → first article confirmation → in-process (patrol) inspection with dimension records → 100% final inspection before packing. Final inspection covers:

  • pitch / spiral pitch and structural dimensions
  • width, length and flatness
  • welding quality — weld points smooth and rounded
  • drive or sprocket matching where applicable
  • cleanliness, appearance and packing condition

Q05What documents come with my order?

Material documentation is prepared per order. If you need specific documents or tests — for example for your market or your customer — tell us before production so we can confirm what we provide. Testing capability does not mean every test is included in every order, so we agree it in advance.

Q06Can a third party inspect my order?

Yes, on request. Tell us the inspection body and scope when you order and we schedule it. Third-party inspection is not included by default.

Q07Are your belts certified for food contact?

We do not claim a general food-contact certification, and ISO 9001 is a quality management certificate, not a product certificate. Tell us the standard your market requires, and we confirm honestly what we can provide for your order before production.

05
ORDER & PRODUCTION

You always know where your order stands

After you order, you should not have to chase us. We report to you — every week.

Q01How will I know how my order is progressing?

Every Thursday we send you a progress report — you do not need to ask. It covers all your open orders:

  • Orders in production: the current status of each recent order, which steps are completed and which are next.
  • Shipped orders: the logistics progress of everything already shipped — vessel or flight, current location and the estimated arrival date.
  • Open questions: any technical point that needs your confirmation, so production is never held up waiting.

Knowing when goods will arrive lets you plan your own production and installation ahead. If anything changes, you hear it from us first.

Q02Do you keep records of my order?

Yes. Each order keeps its approved drawing, confirmed PI, material records, processing and production records, inspection records and order identification. These records follow the belt from raw material to finished product.

Q03Will my repeat order match the first one?

That is what the records are for. When you reorder, we build from the same approved drawing and refer to the original order records — material, dimensions and inspection results — so the new belt matches the one already running on your line. Any change you want is confirmed on the drawing first.

Q04What are your payment terms?

T/T is commonly used. For custom orders a deposit, usually 30%, is paid before production, with the balance per the agreed terms.

Q05Can I get a sample?

Samples are handled case by case. Trial production during a custom order is part of our quality control and is confirmed with you before mass production.

Q06Can you pack under our brand?

Neutral or customer-brand packing can be discussed project by project — useful for distributors supplying their own customers.

06
PACKING & SHIPPING

Packed to arrive the way it left

A belt that passes final inspection in our factory has to arrive the same way. Packing is inspected like the belt.

Q01How are belts packed for export?

  • Protection: waterproof wrap, stretch film, bubble protection, plastic packaging or cartons, chosen for the belt.
  • Wooden cases: fumigation-free 15 mm panels; solid-wood frames follow IPPC / ISPM 15.
  • Wide belts: packing 3.8 m wide or more may add steel reinforcement.
  • By material: stainless belts are kept clean and dry before packing; mild steel parts get anti-rust oil and protective film.

Crate, labels and packing list are checked before the shipment leaves.

Q02Which Incoterms do you offer?

EXW, FOB and CIF are common. Tell us your preferred terms and destination port or address.

Q03How do you ship?

By sea, air, rail, China–Europe train or courier, depending on size, urgency and destination. We suggest the option that fits your timing and budget.

Q04Which shipping documents can you provide?

Commercial documents for your shipment, and a Certificate of Origin where applicable. Tell us any document your customs or customer requires before shipment.

07
AFTER-SALES

We stay responsible after delivery

Delivery is not the end of the order. If something is wrong, we find the cause and fix it — and make sure it does not happen again.

Q01What happens if there is a problem with my belt?

We respond with priority and follow a clear process:

  • Collect the order details, photos and videos from you.
  • Review the production and QC records of your order.
  • Find the cause and the responsibility — objectively, without automatically blaming either side.
  • Agree a solution with you.
  • Record the corrective action and recheck it on your future repeat orders.

Q02Can you supply spare parts later?

Yes. Spare rods, wire, belt sections, sprockets, side guards and other parts are quoted project by project, built to the same records as your belt. There is no fixed spare kit — we suggest spares based on your line.

Q03How long will the belt last?

Service life depends on your operating conditions — load, temperature, cleaning, tension and maintenance — so we do not state a fixed figure. Tell us how your line runs and we advise on material, structure and maintenance that help the belt last.

Q04Can you help us choose a belt for a new line later?

Yes. Because we keep your drawings and order records, we can compare a new project with what already runs in your plant and suggest what to keep or improve.
